Don't Leave by Spice Poetry

"Don't Leave" I heard the words
And i heard them real clear
When it seemed it could get worse
That's when she shed the tear

She said "One moment you were here,
And baby it all felt good, it all felt right,
Afraid to love again, you took away my fear,
Because of you, i loved again in blind sight"

It broke my heart that i was leaving
She tagged my arm desperately pleading
Saying...

"Baby look at me, please turn your face,
This isn't fair, i need you to cut the chase,
Why're you leaving, we're in the right place,
I have loved you with my all, why the disgrace?"

I saw the pain in her eyes, The love she never hides
I saw the beautiful memories we shared, the ties
I saw myself in her, I saw where my future lies
I got down on my knees, and in one last attempt..

"Baby i'm sorry, we've both been deeply hurt before,
In this moment our tears have been brought to the fore,
Our love story has a new chapter beaming it's glow,
Let's save us and love shall bring us our tomorrow"

A new day beckons from afar, Ours is a tale written in the stars
Our hearts healing from their scars, and forever love..Baby that's what we are.
